Real Madrid’s U19s Make History with Domestic Treble Win

Real Madrid’s U19s have made history by becoming the first side to win a domestic treble in Spain, beating Real Betis 2-1 in the final of the Copa de Campeones.

The team, which is managed by Alfredo di Stéfano, entered into the tournament as strong contenders having won all 10 of their matches in this season’s regional competition. Goals from Manu Serrano and Gonzalo Garcia were enough to seal victory for Los Blancos, who put on an impressive display throughout the match.

Serrano got Madrid off to a flying start with a stunning scissor kick halfway through the first half. The goal was followed shortly after by an equaliser from Santiago van der Putten for Betis. In the 82nd minute, however, midfielder Nico Paz provided some enterprising wing play which saw Gonzalo Garcia head home past Betis’ goalkeeper and give Madrid what would be the winning goal.

This year’s title win marks an incredible achievement for Real Madrid’s youth setup, who have now won five trophies in two years under Di Stefano. It is also reportedly their first double-treble success since 2002/03 when they won both Spanish youth titles and the UEFA Youth League. The current crop of players are undoubtedly some of best young talent La Liga has ever seen and have been tipped to make a big impact in the senior squad next season.

In celebration of their historic triumph, Real Madrid unveiled their new 2023/24 jersey which will be worn by the U19s team during next season’s campaign. The kit pays homage to Madrid’s rich history with its classic white shirt design adorned with three red stripes running down both sides. It also features gold detailing along with a crest featuring both La Liga and Copa de Campeones emblems – making it a perfect way for them to show off their hard-earned achievements this past year.

All in all, this has been an extraordinary season for Real Madrid’s Under 19’s team and one that will surely be remembered for many years to come. With such success at such a young age, these boys have certainly set themselves up for future stardom within football – something even more likely given that each player now proudly sports Real Madrid’s 2023/24 jersey – testament to the extent of their accomplishments this year alone!
